Singham and Simmba in Sooryavanshi?

When action hero Akshay Kumar and action film director Rohit Shetty made an announcement of collaborating for the movie Sooryavanshi, fans and the Bollywood trade got excited. And now, if the buzz is true, Sooryavanshi might exceed our expectations as the director might get principal actors from his earlier franchise to have guest appearances in it.

Rohit, who made a mark for himself with the Ajay Devgn starrer Singham franchise took his love for police films further with the Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba. Now, Akshay Kumar will also play a cop in Sooryavanshi, essaying the role of Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, with Katrina Kaif as his wife.

What adds a cherry to the top is that according to sources, both Ranveer and Ajay may be seen in an extended cameo in the film. However, right now the makers don’t wish to reveal much.

In fact, on Monday, the entire team of the upcoming film took to social media to share a picture that had Ranveer, Akshay, Rohit, Ajay and Karan Johar in one frame. Giving hints, Akshay even captioned the photo, “The cop universe just got bigger as #Sooryavanshi takes charge!”
