While the Roshans and Shah Rukh Khan have vented enough displeasure at the clash of their respective films at the box office (Kaabil and Raees release on the same day, January 25, 2017,) filmmaker Sanjay Gupta had maintained a stoic silence.

Not any more. Speaking of the overlap he said, “It’s very unfortunate. It doesn’t happen in Hollywood at all. I feel like a lot more needs to be done here, because we get so easily twisted by political organisation. Also, we as an industry are not united. Take the producers’ body for instance  — we have four different producers’ bodies! If we were united, I am sure all of these things would not happen.”

Her further asks, “We have four or five superstars, can’t we get five Fridays in a year? I am sure they can easily find five Fridays in a year. It's unfortunate, it’s sad and there's only so much one can do.”
