Dinesh is not expected to give any statement at the moment but he will make a proper announcement by the end of April.
There have been many rumours doing the rounds regarding the sequel to the 2017 comedy-drama Hindi Medium starring Irrfan Khan. Directed by Saket Chaudhary for Dinesh Vijan, the film became a sleeper hit with a box office collection of over Rs 300 crores.
A year ago, its producer Dinesh confirmed the sequel. However, the scripting was postponed because Irrfan was diagnosed with cancer and he headed off to London for the treatment. Now that Khan is back, Dinesh is waiting for the actor to get better and inform the world that he is back in action before making any announcement.
“The scripting of the film is still going on. Dinu is not expected to give any statement at the moment but he will make a proper announcement by the end of April. Irrfan has just returned and his health is the priority. Once Irrfan’s health is fine, Dinu will surely make an announcement. As far as the sequel is concerned, it will be made. It was given rest because of Irrfan’s health. We will need to wait to hear an official announcement in 90 days from now,” says a source close to the development of the film.
