Revealed! Yuvraj Singh wants Akshay Kumar to star in his biopic!
He feels that his autobiography, ‘The Test of My Life: From Cricket to Cancer and Back’ sums up his life.
Mumbai: Filmmakers who plan on approaching the cricketing sensation Yuvraj Singh for a biopic on his life will have to consider these two actors to essay his character on celluloid.
In a recent chat show with his friend of 17 years, Neha Dhupia, cricketer Yuvraj Singh said that he would like Akshay Kumar to play his role as they both are Punjabis.
The star cricketer, who recently got married to model-turned-actress Hazel Keech, said, “Well I don’t know who relates to me the best but as a Punjabi boy I think Akshay fits in that category.”
Yuvi, although is not too keen on having a film on his life as ‘it is too personal’, did not rubbish the idea completely.
“Biopic is very personal. I am not sure if I would like to go for it…someday when I decide to hang my boots and sit on it, I may(think about it)...not at the moment…,” said Singh, who has a record of hitting six sixes in an over.
Singh also said his struggle with cancer did not stop him from playing cricket as, for him, country comes first.
The other actor who Yuvi wouldn’t mind playing him on big screen is Aditya Roy Kapoor.
