Clash of the Titans on I-Day

In an industry where there are a slew of releases almost every week, box-office clashes are common. But when there are multiple big-budget films battling each other, their collections get divided. While Independence day (August 15th), which falls on a holiday weekend, is the best bet to release a film, this year will see John Abraham’s Batla House, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and Prabhas’s Saaho hitting the screen.

An insider from the industry reveals all these three films are actually on the lines of patriotism, which is ideal to release on this day. “But considering all their actors are A-listers, it would be ideal to postpone at least one film so that the collections don’t get hampered,” says the source. Well, for now, there is no shift in the release date.
