'Finally I have younger brother, sister': Alia ecstatic as Karan becomes father

Mumbai: Several Bollywood stars took to Twitter to congratulate Karan Johar, who announced on Sunday that he has become a father of twins, a boy and a girl, though surrogacy.

However, the most happy seem to be his 'Students,' Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, whom he had famously referred to as his children.

Karan, incidentally, had launched them in his directorial, 'Student of the Year'.

All three took to their respective feeds to congratulate the ace director-producer.

Karan has named his kids, Yash and Roohi, who were born in February. The names are inspired by the names of his own parents, Yash and Hiroo.

The filmmaker had often expressed his desire to become a father and had spoken about it in detail in his recent autobiography ‘An Unsuaitable Boy.’
