Priyanka Chopra to return to Bollywood, will don the role of a prostitute?

Mumbai: While Priyanka Chopra is making India proud with her global achievements, fans really want to see the ‘desi girl’ in a Bollywood film now. ‘Jai Gangaajal’ was PeeCee’s last Bollywood outing.

Last December, during her two-week break, the actress was rumoured to have signed a Sanjya Leela Bhnasali film that has celebrated poet and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi’s life as the central theme. Buzz was that superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who she has worked with in ‘Don’ and ‘Don 2’, will star opposite her.

But it’s been reported by a leading daily that Chopra will not do the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic.

The actress is still working with SLB but on an entirely different project. The hardcore performer that PeeCee is, she will don the role of a prostitute and bring to light what goes around in the gloomy world of brothels. The film is apparently based on a novel.

After garnering accolades for her role as Kashibai in SLB’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, the actress is reportedly ‘happy and excited’ about the script. She will start shooting for the film once she wraps up her international projects.
