Arbaaz Khan finally seems to be hitting a green patch in his career. As he prepares for his next, Tera Intezar with Sunny Leone, he talks about the humble Khan-daan he comes from.

Quiz him on whether the next generation of his family will take the unity forward, and he says, “I hope so. My equation with the kids so far is good. They’re a very confident bunch. We could not stand in front of our parents and put forth our wishes of pursuing a profession. But today, children come and confidently update you on what they wish to go ahead with. This attitude is good. We need not oppress their wishes. I allow my kid to share his opinion freely.” He adds, “I feel all our family members have grown in an atmosphere where we all stand for each other. We can hope whatever positive lessons have been imparted will be carried forward. As a father, I always want our children to be successful.”

Arbaaz is currently waiting with a few releases, and says he’s grateful that filmmakers still think of him when making movies. “At this juncture in my life, I feel lucky enough to be getting work as an actor as well. How many of us get to work on the celluloid?” he asks. “I started way back in ’96 and still am getting work. Isn’t it lucky? All we actors love to do is work on screen. And despite this profession being volatile, I’m still working. So, I don’t care much about choosing something. Whatever comes my way, I do it. I only see that the story should be good.”

But behind the cameras, Arbaaz is taking his own sweet time with Dabangg 3. “When I’m directing, I take care of the script and storyline a little more than I do as an actor. It takes me a while to complete the script. Dabangg 3 is under scripting still. Since audiences have huge expectations from this film, we don’t wish to leave any stone unturned,” he says.

Finally, Arbaaz feels glad to have worked with Sunny. “I’ve learned more about Sunny after working with her. She has a very human and humble side to her. She’s a hard working actress,” he smiles.
