The song is a satire on India reportedly being number one in open defecation.

Mumbai: India, which is one of the fast-growing economies in the world, is still battling with sanitation issues rampant in rural areas and Akshay Kumar, in his ‘Toilet Ka Jugaad’ song, has urged all his countrymen to build toilets in their homes and not risk their lives by indulging in something as unhygienic as open defecation.

The superstar, who has both crooned and featured in the video showcasing his quirky dance moves, takes a dig at how the country has reached Mars, climbed the Mount Everest, yet, is willingly ignorant about the repercussions of open defecation.

‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is the story of a middle-class man and his wife who fight the local politicians to get toilets in their houses. The social drama features Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles, while Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, Shubha Khote and Anupam Kher have crucial characters to play in it.

The film is slated to release on August 11.
