Mumbai: Shraddha Kapoor is an actress who has seen as many lows in her career, as she has experienced highs. In spite of being a star-kid (daughter of Shakti Kapoor), Shraddha has not exactly had an easy-breezy journey in Bollywood. In fact, the actress has come in limelight even for more wrong reasons than right, and has been bashed for her choice of films at various occasions. Here’s looking at highlights of her career:

1. Entering the industry with a big banner but fizzling out just as immediately

Shraddha Kapoor worked with Amitabh Bachchan in her debut film ‘Teen Patti’, and then signed a 3-film deal with the renowned production house YRF. She got her unnoticed big-banner film ‘Luv Ka The End’ but terminated her contract immediately as the movie went down the drain.

2. Super success with ‘Aashiqui 2’

Shraddha then joined the Bhatt camp and gave ‘Aashiqui 2’ with renowned producer Siddharth Roy Kapur’s brother Aditya Roy Kapur. The movie went on to become a cult and gave both her and Aditya’s career a boost.

3. Her much-spoken-about pairing with Aditya Roy Kapur

Shraddha and Aditya’s chemistry was so well appreciated during ‘Aashiqui 2’ that it was believed the two were dating. Till date neither of the two have confirmed anything but their chemistry is quite evident. They even went on to work in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ok Jaanu’ early last year, and while the movie tanked, the chemistry between these two couldn’t be avoided.

4. No magic left thanks to her bad choices

After giving hits like ‘Ek Villain’, ‘ABCD 2’, ‘Haider’ and ‘Baaghi’ (‘Baaghi 2’ is on its way), Shraddha went on to pick projects like ‘Rock On 2’, ‘Ok Jaanu’, ‘Half Girlfriend’ and ‘Haseena Parkar’.

5. Her link-up with Farhan Akhtar

News was abuzz that the actress started dating her ‘Rock On 2’ co-star Farhan Akhtar during the shooting of the film. It was even reported that she left her house to move in with Farhan, but her father Shakti interrupted and got her back. Shraddha has often described how these news reports upset her and affected her family.

6. Huge expectations from her upcoming films

But all done and dusted, Shraddha is trying to ensure she stays in people’s minds by picking up projects like ‘Saaho’ with ‘Baahubali’ Prabhas, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ with her ‘Haider’ actor Shahid Kapoor and biopic on Saina Nehwal. For ‘Batti Gul’, she has even picked up some accents which she will flaunt in the film. Well, our expectations are quite high from her upcoming projects, but only time can tell how much justice can be done to them.
