Bollywood A-listers on the small screen

Bollywood’s three Khans and Amitabh Bachchan are all making appearances on the small screen at the moment. Shah Rukh Khan is hosting the first season of Ted Talks India: Nayi Soch on the Star TV, and it’s doing reasonably well for its genre; Salman recently concluded the third season of Dus Ka Dum, and he’s slated to come back for season 12 of Bigg Boss; Amitabh Bachchan is hosting the tenth season of KBC; and Aamir is all set to return with the third season of Satyameva Jayate.

Reports suggest that Shah Rukh will begin shooting the next season of Ted Talks India in November so that it comes out around the same time as his film Zero. And Aamir is in advanced talks with the channel about the date his show will go on the air.

“There is a surfeit of stars on television right now. It remains to be seen who produces better content for television viewing,” says a trade expert.
