Mumbai: Twinkle Khanna often creates headlines with her witty tweets and her hilarious comments were on display when she made an appearance with Akshay Kumar on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan'.
After impressing readers with her writing skills in her weekly columns and in her two books, Twinkle is turning a full-fledged producer with her own banner, Mrs Funnybones Movies.
Akshay took to Twitter to share the first look of the film, titled ‘Padman' which has the tagline, ‘based on an extraordinary true story’ along with an image of a santiray pad and details like 'cotton 100 %' and 'fresh'.
He was sharing the looks of his films in 2017 which included ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘2.0’.
Twinkle later tweeted that the film was written and directed by R Balki.
We had earlier reported that Twinkle was set to turn a producer and that the film was to be based on one of the stories from her book, ‘The Legend of Laxmi Prasad'. The story is about Arunachalam Muruganantha who campaigned extensively for menstrual hygiene in rural India and was known as ‘Sanitary Man’.
