Gloves on for Farhan Akhtar

Farhan Akhtar has been practising his punches for his upcoming boxing film Toofan, which went on the floors earlier this week. This is Farhan’s second collaboration with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and also his second sports film after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag — his only `100 crore film.

“Farhan’s training for the film has been extensive. He was training under Darrell Foster, who has also trained actors for boxing films like Ali and Bleed For This.  The training also included a lot of weight training, because Farhan needed huge muscles and a lot of strength in the hands for the boxing sequences to look realistic. Farhan had also trained a lot for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, running several laps at Priyadarshini Park to get his athletic frame,” says a source.

While there has been a lot of speculation about Farhan’s next directorial Don 3, he will be seen next in The Sky Is Pink along with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Zaira Wasim.
