Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate it than by raising a toast to your love

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate it than by raising a toast to your love We got mixologists to tell us about the one spirit that they consider truly romantic, and the drink that they would create with it. So get ready to take a sip of liquid love!

The spirit I consider most romantic would be Kirsch liqueur, Frangelico or any berry- based spirit where the flavour lends itself to an element of love or acts as an aphrodisiac. And the one drink I would love to serve up on Valentine’s Day would be the “Brambletini”, which you need to start work on about four months in advance. I infuse two different types of spirits — blackberry and orange vodka and a spiced raspberry liqueur — for this drink. The recipe includes muddled strawberries, the infused spirits that I mentioned and it is garnished with some rose petals and mulberry caviar. — Pranav Mody, mixologist, The Sassy Spoon

I feel there is only one spirit in the bar that can match the romance of Valentine’s Day — champagne. The drink that I would serve up on Valentine’s Day would be champagne cocktail with strawberry and rose petals. For this, I take 10 ml of honey and some strawberry syrup in a flute and then top it off with champagne. Add a dash of rose syrup and it’s ready! Jackson Monteiro, mixologist, Radio Bar

For Valentine’s Day, I believe The French Kiss — sparkling wine with Absolut Raspberry, fresh strawberries and assorted berries — is a perfect drink to try. Strawberries are aphrodisiac in nature and the leave a lingering feeling — just like a French kiss! What could be better on this day of love Chef Marzban Amroliwala, Umame

We have a homemade “Passion Liqueur” that we would consider the most romantic! And the drink we would love to serve our guests on Valentine’s Day is the “Indigo Passion”, which consists of Black & White, our homemade passion liqueur, banana liqueur, Martini Bianco and pineapple juice.
