After getting approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi University’s School of Open Learning held a meeting on Friday to discuss the syllabus and structure of the new academic session for which admissions will begin on July 15.

While giving priority to the university syllabus, SOL would frame the structure of the courses as per their own requirement. “According to the UGC, we have to follow 70 per cent of the common syllabus like regular colleges, but we have the provision to frame 30 per cent of our own syllabus. Although we have agreed to sync our syllabus with the regular CBCS course of the university, we will be continuing with our annual structure mode because semester mode will become difficult this time,” said Campus of Open Learning chairperson, C S Dubey.
