A 38-year-old property dealer-cum-builder was shot dead outside his office in Northeast Delhi’s Seelampur area on Monday night. Four bullets were pumped into his chest, said the police.

The police said that when the deceased, Mahendra Chand Ramola, was sitting inside his office, two persons came on a scooty and fired in the air. They then entered Ramola’s office.

The duo then pulled out Ramola from his office and fired four bullets at him. Then fled away brandishing their weapons in the air. Ramola was taken to a government hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

A police officer said Ramola had a personal enmity after selling over some property in Delhi. “Prima facie, it appears as a outcome of a personal enmity. We are verifying every facts connected to the incident,” said the officer.

Sources said Ramola had a narrow escaped when he was attacked two years ago because of the same rivalry.

The police has collected CCTV footages from the spot to establish the identity of the accused persons. Ramola is survived by his wife and two children who live in the same locality.
