Charging at the AAP government’s mohalla clinics initiative, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Ajay Maken released a report exposing the anomalies in 105 AAP mohalla clinics. The report is based on surveys of all 105 mohalla clinics conducted by 217 “jan sarvekshak” appointed by Congress. The report highlights serious violations of public health and financial propriety by AAP Delhi government.

Mr Maken said that AAP’s Delhi government established these mohalla clinics in violation of the CVC guidelines dated 8 July 1999, Section 4.13 of the PWD manual and building bye-laws. Also, crores of rupees were spent on the advertisement of these clinics. He said that these mohalla clinics lack basic health services and the health guidelines are also being violated there.

The report even said the AAP government extended pecuniary advantage to members and office bearers of the party by paying more than the prevailing market rent at the expense of the public exchequer. Mr Maken said that the Congress consulted public health experts and its jan sarvekshak volunteers have surveyed each of the 105 mohalla clinics between August 18-20.
