Online registration for University of Delhi’s PG, Ph.D. courses ends
The University of Delhi completed online registration for postgraduate courses, six undergraduate courses and Ph.D. and M.Phil. courses on Tuesday.

The university received 1,29,509 applications from across the country, with the highest number of applications from Delhi at 68,349, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 21,749 applications, Haryana and Bihar ranked third and fourth with 15,179 and 4,111 applications respectively. A total of 54,834 male and female candidates, including four other gender category students have applied for the six undergraduate courses, registration for which had started on May 13. The BE/BBA course tops with 22,884 applications whereas B.El.Ed course attracted 10,823 applications. Some 2,786 students from Varanasi, which is one of the six centres to conduct UG entrance examination for six courses, have also applied and Delhi sent 50,013 applications — the highest number in this category. The M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses received a total of 7,276 applications of which 6,262 applications are from Delhi.
Higher number of female applicants have applied for all courses compared to male applicants. While 71,878 females have applied for post-graduate courses, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses have received 4,140 applications from female candidates. A total of 30,221 female applicants have applied for the six under-graduate courses.
Apart from that, the university has received quite a good number of other gender category applications this year.
