Registrations crossed the mark of 1,500 with admission-seekers from six different states and in more than 17 courses registering for admission to different post-graduate courses.
The university has invited online applications for registration to admission to all post-graduate programs for the 2016-2017 academic session and the payment of registration fees has also been made online.
DU registrar Tarun Kumar Das said, “This overwhelming nationwide response for admissions to post-graduate courses in DU is a reflection of its traditions, quality of education and continuing success in creating benchmarks in all types of academic pursuits. This year for the first time, the university has decided to conduct entrance examinations for admission to all the post-graduate courses at multiple centres across the country.”
The DU has identified five other major locations namely Bengaluru, Nagpur, Jammu, Varanasi and Kolkata besides Delhi to facilitate the potential aspirants appear at the entrance examination at their nearest possible locations besides online registration.
