New one-time parking fares to affect car prices
The North Delhi Municipal Corporation on Wednesday passed a proposal for revision of one-time parking charges, which is likely to increase the prices of cars and SUVs in the capital.
The NDMC standing committee passed the proposal for revision of one-time parking fee that is charged at the time of registration of vehicles. The passed proposal will push prices of cars and high-end non-commercial vehicles by '6,000 to over '6 lakh. Along with the two wheelers, autorickshaw and taxis plying on the streets of the national capital, the e-rickshaws too have been exempted from the one-time parking charges.
The proposal was approv-ed by the chairmen of the standing committee Mohan Prasad Bhardwaj (North) and Radhey Shyam Sharma (South) on Wednesday.
