NDMC offers job, house to widow of MM Khan
The New Delhi Municipal Council has offered a job on compassionate grounds to Nishat Khan, widow of its legal adviser M.M. Khan who was murdered on May 16.

The New Delhi Municipal Council has offered a job on compassionate grounds to Nishat Khan, widow of its legal adviser M.M. Khan who was murdered on May 16.
Senior BJP leader and NDMC vice-chairman Karan Singh Tanwar said a job sanctioned on compassionate grounds would be offered with immediate effect to Mrs Khan on the same pay grade as her husband.
According to Mr Tanwar, Mrs Khan will be offered a job as NDMC assistant social education officer, a Grade B post. Apart from this, the Khan family has also been allotted Type-III accommodation by the NDMC at Aditya Sadan in lieu of Rs 500 per month. The job will be at par with that of an estate officer as far as remuneration is concerned. The NDMC said it will also bear the cost of education of her children.
Mr Tanwar said Mrs Khan had been given financial assistance of Rs 35 lakh by the NDMC and a sum of Rs 25 lakh by Union home minister Rajnath Singh, a few days ago. ”The NDMC law officer was allegedly shot dead by Hotel Connaught owner Ramesh Kakkar and his six associates. All the accused were arrested by the Delhi police within a span of 24 hours and the police will soon file a chargesheet in the court,” he said. Mr Tanwar alleged that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had taken credit for all the facilities and amenities being provided to Khan’s widow. “Facilities are being sanctioned by the NDMC, which has a majority of BJP members, and would not have been possible without the consent of the BJP members in the council. Now, the amenities have been sanctioned, so Mr Kejriwal will try to grasp the credit, or else he would say that the NDMC is under the control of the Union home ministry and Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn’t allow it to be sanctioned,” the NDMC vice-chairman said.
