The Delhi government on Friday discussed two proposed elevated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor projects in the city at a high-level meeting which was also attended by lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung.

In his budgetary speech, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia had proposed two elevated BRT corridors, one from Anand Vihar Terminal to Peeragrahi and another from Wazirabad to IGI Airport. During the meeting, officials from transport department and traffic planning body, Unified Traffic and Tran-sportation Infrastructure (Plan-ning & Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC), deliberated on the two elevated BRT corridors.

A senior government official said a presentation was made on the projects. Now the UTTIPEC will seek views of other agencies like the Delhi police and the land-owning agency like the Delhi Development Authority and if it deems fit, it could make suggestions to amend the plan.
