In a major reshuffle in the Delhi police, a 1984 batch IPS officer, special commissioner of police Deepak Mishra, who is heading the unit of administration, has been shifted to the Central Reserve Police Force as additional director-general.

Besides, at least 12 IPS officers have also been transferred in the Delhi police.

Mr Mishra had recently been shifted to the administration department from law and order, which he looked after for at least three years. Sources said he will report to the CRPF headquarters within a week.

A 1988 batch IPS officer, Sundari Nanda, has been transferred to women safety, airport and modernisation department. The recently-promoted 1989 batch IPS officer Sandeep Goel will has been shifted to traffic as special commissioner of police. His batchmates Sanjay Beniwal, R.S. Krishnaia and S.K. Gautam have been transferred to operations, armed police and recruitment and security.

Joint commissioners of police Rajender Pal Upadhyay and Virender Singh Chahal, both from 1991 batch, have been transferred to southeastern range and central range.

A 1992 batch IPS officer, Satish Golcha, will be joint commissioner of police (eastern range) while 1997 batch IPS officer V. Renganathan is joint commissioner of police (special cell).

The 1994 batch IPS officer, Garima Bhatnagar, and 1998 batch IPS officer A.K. Ojha have been shifted to traffic as the joint commissioner of police, operation and administration, respectively.
