Three persons have been arrested in two separate operations by the narcotics wing of the Delhi police crime branch and recovered hashish and heroin worth around Rs 35 lakh in international market, the police said on Saturday.

In the first operation, the police got a tip-off that two persons, who allegedly smuggled hashish from Uttarakhand, would come to deliver a consignment on Wazirabad road and a trap was laid accordingly, it said.

The police arrested Dinesh Kumar (30) and Vinod Kumar (42) and recovered around 5 kg of hashish, worth around Rs 25 lakh in international market, from their possession, said joint commissioner of police (crime) Ravindra Yadav.

In the second operation, the police arrested Mustaq Ahmad (32), a heroin peddler who smuggled the drug from Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh, from near Anand Vihar ISBT after laying a trap following a tip-off.

The police recovered around 125 gram fine quality heroin, worth around '10 lakh in international market, from his possession, said Mr Yadav.
