The Delhi police has been directed by a city court to file a case against a head constable and two others for carrying out unauthorised construction in a property owned jointly by the complainant and the cop.

The court said that the investigation was required to ascertain the truth of the matter. It then directed the station house official (SHO) of Jaitpur Police Station to lodge a case. The court was hearing the revision petition when it directed the police to file an FIR against head constable Mahesh Sharma and his two brothers Ajay and Manoj.

The revision petition was filed by one Angad Sharma, against the order of a magisterial court which had dismissed his plea against them for forging documents and beating him up. “Revisionist has levelled serious allegations against the respondents in his complaint which are required to be investigated by the cops,” the court noted.
