Ex-MLA’s murderer arrested by Delhi police
The Delhi police on Saturday claimed to have arrested Ravi Shokeen alias Chuja, murderer of former MLA Bharat Singh, who recently also killed Vipin, the prime witness of the legislator’s murder.

In March this year, ex-MLA Bharat Singh had gone to attend a social function in Najafgarh when 8 sharpshooters of another criminal Udaiveer, alias Kala, and Hemant shot him dead. While Udaiveer and five others were arrested, Ravi Shokeen was absconding. He was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest.
The police said that on Friday, a secret inform-ation was received that Ravi would come near a CNG station in Gurgaon to execute some major crime. “A team of police officers laid a trap and Ravi Shokeen was apprehended. A pistol and four live cartridges were recovered,” said the cops.
During interrogation, he revealed that after he had a long enmity with Bharat Singh’s family. He said that he was on the run and hid at their hideouts in Haryana, Punjab and UP.
“In order to evade their arrest, they never stayed at one place for a long period and neither did they go to the same place again,” said the police, adding, “He was not using a mobile phone and would change his appearance to fix the cops.” He further revealed that they were planning to execute the murder of close associates of the Krishan Pehalwan gang.
The police said that as Vipin was faithful to Krishan Pehalwan and Bharat Singh and was the prime witness the latter’s murder, Ravi planned his murder and along with Hemant, Rakesh and Sonu Punjabi laid a honey trap with the help of Vipin’s girlfriend before calling him to Rohini where they killed him.
He further revealed that they were planning to execute the murder of close associates of the Krishan Pehalwan gang.
