Pro-independence JKLF leader Muhammad Yasin Malik threatened to launch a “full-fledged protest” if the authorities do not put an end to “harassment” of Kashmiri students, reports our correspondent.
“Kashmiris will not tolerate this oppression against Kashmiri students and will launch a full-fledged protest against this,” he said in a statement from a local hospital where he is receiving treatment under police custody.
He alleged, “Indian rulers and their officials treat Kashmir as their colony and Kashmiris as their slaves. It has been a practice to harass, abuse and torture Kashmiri students which is only ruining their careers.”
