Social media users criticised the Delhi chief minister and he was trolled heavily on Twitter and other social networking sites. Soon after, his deputy Manish Sisodia said that the reaction couldn’t be helped. “The speech was boring,” he said. To prove that was not of a partisan review, he pointed to images of senior ministers Arun Jaitley and Manohar Parrikar who were also snoozing.
Mr Kejriwal, in court and outside, has accused the PM of snatching basic powers from the Delhi government to seize far greater control of the national capital than the Centre is allowed. In his Independence Day speech, he accused the Centre of taking away powers from an elected government.
The 47-year-old chief minister followed up a video in which he declared the PM “could even have me eliminated” with a 10-day vipassana or meditation course which requires complete silence.
The AAP mocked the PM’s lengthy speech, saying it would have wongold if there was a medal for the “most boring” public speech at the Olym-pics. “If at all Olympics had a medal for the most boring public speech then Mr Modi would have received gold,” city minister Kapil Mishra said.
