Delhi University college releases seventh cut-off; 500 seats vacant

Delhi University’s Non Collegiate Board of Women (NCWEB) released its seventh cut-off list on Saturd-ay, as 500 seats still remain vacant in some of the centres.

Delhi University’s Non Collegiate Board of Women (NCWEB) released its seventh cut-off list on Saturd-ay, as 500 seats still remain vacant in some of the centres. Initially, the board had decided to declare only five cut-offs like the regular colleges. But due to sea-ts still remaining vacant in some of the centres, the process for the board had to be started all over again.

“There are still 500 seats left in some of the centres out of the 25 centres for which we had to take out a seventh list. The main reason for this is that admissions in the regular colleges are still in process and students are withdrawing their admissions from NCWEB and taking admissions in regular colleges,” said NCWEB director, Dr Anju Gupta.

This year, NCWEB increased its centres from 13 to 25 with an addition of 5,700 more seats. So far, there were 6,084 seats, which increased to 11,784. Each centre has approximately 284 seats for BA and 184 seats for B.Com.

“Due to shifting of students to other colleges, we declared a sixth cut-off and now the seventh list,” Dr Gupta added.
