The city police has failed to trace serial dog killer, who slaughtered three puppies with a knife on March 18 outside South Delhi’s Green Park Metro station, under Hauz Khas police station, 24 days after the gruesome incident.
The police said it had got no clue about the “serial killer” from all of their sources and added its officers are in regular contact with the sources to get any leads in the case. The police also has pasted posters in public places to get any clue.
“The case is still under investigation, we will definitely trace out the accused. We keep in touch with all of ours informers about the case. We will arrest the accused very soon,” said a police official.
After the incident, to get the accused arrested, two NGOs working for cruelty against animals had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information about the killer.
The Hauz Khas police had registered a case against unknown persons and is investigating the gruesome killings. The CCTV footage of entire killing in which a man dressed in shorts and a jacket with knife in his hands had briefly trended on social media.
The killings of several dogs in the area have raised fears that a serial canine killer is on the loose. Animal lovers and NGOs working for animal rights took the injured dogs to a veterinary clinic for treatment.
