A Delhi court on Wednesday asked Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, deputy CM Manish Sisodia and AAP leader Sanjay Singh, to appear before it on December 12 in connection with a case lodged against them for allegedly violating prohibitory orders and obstructing public servants in discharging their duty during an agitation held outside Rail Bhawan in January 2014.

Metropolitan magistrate Harvinder Singh passed the order while granting the politicians exemption from personal appearance for the day after he was told that the accused could not appear due to other engagements. During the proceedings other AAP leaders — Rakhi Birla, Somnath Bharti and Ashutosh appeared before the court to attend the court hearing. The cops have already filed charges.
