Court accepts Chhota Rajan plea seeking pen and diary

Underworld don Chhota Rajan will now be able to note down the legal proceedings as his plea has been approved by a Delhi court in which he had asked for a pen and a diary.

Rajan had said that he forgets the key points of the 71 cases lodged against him in Delhi and Mumbai. His plea had indicated that sometimes he was unable to decide what to speak before the court and he was confused over the facts. Ra-jan, who was feeling the ne-ed of an answer sheet of the court’s question, had demanded that he should be provided stationery stuff like copy, pen and a notebook.

Rajan is currently lodged in Tihar and is facing prosecution. In recent past, he had demanded treatment from a panel of expert doctors from AIIMS, alleging that the jail doctors had complicated his health pro-blem. The court had accepted his plea. Rajan then moved another plea seeking court permission to use pen and a diary in the jail.

The jail authority was, however, unaware about the plea moved by Rajan. They said they did not have any idea about it. “Even if we know about his plea and demand we cannot tell media about it,” said a jail official.
