Couple shot at in a case of road rage

In an alleged case of road rage, a couple was shot at in Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad, on Saturday.

According to police, Pravesh and his wife Priti were heading home on their motorcycle at 6 pm. As they were passing through a narrow market area, their motorcycle hit a car accidentally. The car’s occupants scuffled with the couple. However, they were pacified by locals and the couple went home, which is in the same locality.

At 10 pm, a group of men attacked the couple’s house and opened fire at them. A bullet hit Pravesh on his wrist and another bullet, fired at him, hit his wife in spine. “After the attack, all of the youth left in their car. A PCR call was made and the police got the couple admitted to a hospital,” said a senior police officer.
