The police on Thursday said that the driver who escaped with a van of a cash replenishment agency along with '54 lakhs was arrested along with his cousin in Etah district in UP. The police has recovered whole looted cash from the accused. A senior police official said the accused driver has been identified as Satish Yadav, alias Sanjay, and his cousin as Shailendra. Their one accomplice is still absconding. The police official said the accused Satish was working in the company with a fake name Sanjay. He had furnished fake address proof. The police got to know that Sanjay was working with fake name and that his real name was Satish Yadav. With the help of technical surveillance, the police tracked them in UP. A raid was conducted in Etah and Satish and his cousin Shailendra were arrested. The cash was also recovered from them. “Shailendra was the mastermind of the loot. He earlier used to work as a driver with Alliance Company that provided guards to CMS company. He helped Satish get the job of a driver in Alliance company with a fake name and address proof. Satish was employed as a driver and was transferred to Delhi,” said the senior police official. The hunt is on for Satish’s third associate, Shailendra’s brother Chhotu, who is still on the run. “Satish, the mastermind, and Chhotu helped Shailendra in committing the crime. After driving away with the van, Shailendra met the two in Raigarpura where they transferred the money in two bags. Satish and Shailendra left for Etah on the motorcycle while Chhotu boarded a bus. The duo was tracked down through their mobile phone locations,” said a police official. The official further said that when the accused driver Satish fled with the cash van from Karol Bagh with cash on Wednesday afternoon, Shailendra was following the van on a motorcycle.
