Taking a fresh jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the CBI raid at the Delhi Secretariat, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said if the investigating agency searched his residence, it would find nothing, but only unaccounted mufflers. Speaking about the recent suspension of three officers in the transport department over alleged irregularities in issuing auto permits, Mr Kejriwal said his government will refer these cases to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

“We suspended three officers and I ordered vigilance probe. Now we will send this matter to the CBI. We send them (the CBI) things in which they find a lot of things. A few days ago we sent them an officer’s case and many kgs of gold biscuits were found,” he said.

“Recently a raid was conducted by Modiji. Nothing was found. My office was recently raided. If they raid my house they will find nothing else, but only 4 unaccounted mufflers,” Mr Kejriwal said. The Aam Aadmi Party ran a campaign “Muffler Man Returns” during the Delhi Assembly polls because of his trademark muffler he wraps his neck due to cough problem.

Mr Kejriwal had launched a scathing attack after the CBI raided the Delhi Secretariat and accused the Centre of orchestrating it. While Mr Kejriwal alleged that his office was raided under the pretext of raiding his principal secretary’s office, the investigating agency refuted the charges.
