CBI busts gang for rigging SSC exam
The CBI on Sunday busted a gang allegedly involved in facilitating cheating in the Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission by using high-tech gadgets. The gang was busted and seven members of the group, including its two masterminds, were detained after the CBI conducted a raid at an examination centre in Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya near ITO, the agency said. “Seven members of the gang, including the two masterminds, and five candidates were detained with mobile phones and laptops while the examination was being held,” CBI spokesperson said here. CBI sources said the two masterminds, Mukesh Maan and Rajnish Maan, of Narela area had been arrested while other detainees role is being examined and call on their arrests would be taken soon. They said Manns extracted lakhs of rupees from each candidate for providing answer keys in examination hall using bluetooth microphone which candidates hid and stitched in their clothing. The gang members allegedly took money from the candidates and provided them minute bluetooth earphone and mike which they hid in their clothes. The masterminds hired experts to solve the paper . The gang used to park a car outside the centre where analysts solved the paper. The answer keys were provided through bluetooth devices in the batch of five questions. Messages like “12344” indicated correct options to set of five questions.
