BJP starts mass contact for poll
After the grand success of Narendra Modi’s rally, the BJP has geared up for Delhi Assembly polls to be held on December 4. In a meeting held on Friday with 14 district unit heads of the party and senior office-bearers of the state unit, the Delhi BJP decided to focus on constituency-specific issues, which will be identified and highlighted by district unit’s heads of the respective regions. With this, the BJP has also begun door-to-door campaigning at the district level where party workers have been visiting households seeking vote for the BJP. The party cadres will also suggest possible solutions to the local issues that could be incorporated in BJP’s manifesto to be released for the polls. Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said, “Preparations for the Assembly elections are in full swing. The focus of the election campaign will be the issue-specific for each of the 70 constituencies, which will be raised by the BJP through its door-to-door contact programme. The BJP workers will highlight the misrule of the Congress government.” He further added that the election campaign would be undertaken at various levels. The door-to-door contact programme has begun immediately after Friday’s meeting in all the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi. There are 14 district units of the BJP and five Assembly constituencies fall under each of these units. Goel informed that the BJP has already trained party cadres for booth level functioning for all the 11,763 polling booths in Delhi. Crack teams have been formed for booth level operations.
