A delegation led by senior BJP Rajya Sabha member Vijay Goel will meet the city chief secretary on Monday to seek details of expenditure incurred by the Kejriwal government on advertisements for the Phase II of the odd-even car rationing scheme.

Mr Goel said the Kejriwal government had spent Delhi taxpayers’ money for the publicity of the chief minister and in his image-building exercise. “This expenditure is unproductive and wasteful as not a single report, be it of National Green Tribunal, Central Pollution Control Board or CRRI, has so far substantiated the CM’s claim that the pollution levels in the capital have gone down,” he said.

Mr Goel alleged the advertisements have been published in the local languages of Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Goa and other states. He has questioned the motive of the AAP government behind this exercise. He has challenged the government to implement the third phase of the road-rationing scheme.
