The Delhi BJP executive committee, going into attack mode just a year before the municipal polls in the national capital, in its meeting on Saturday resolved to expose the “corrupt and anarchic” Arvind Kejriwal government in the city.
Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay alleged that the Kejriwal government, which came as a change in Delhi, is steeped in corruption and anarchism and is fast losing political ground.
“On the basis of its numbers in the Assembly, and on the strength of its advertisement money, the Delhi government is trying to suppress the voice of the people and media. The ministers and MLAs in Delhi have become synonyms for corruption and anarchism. Within a year two ministers have been removed due to forgery and corruption. The Kejriwal government started its innings with a campaign against corruption, but after only some days it was found that even the data of arrests of corrupt persons in its campaign was false,” said Mr Upadhyay.
The Delhi BJP alleged that in the midst of the disappointment of the people the Arvind Kejriwal government is trying to establish itself in national politics with the help of costly advertisements. But, he said, he believes that the chief minister cannot cheat the people again and again.
Delhi BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju said the way the BJP workers’ relentless efforts of the past one year have exposed the corruption and failures of the Kejriwal government, the “Delhi government is very much on the back foot. There is a great responsibility on the BJP workers because the present Delhi government has become a refuge for anti-social and anarchist elements. The country is looking towards the people of Delhi, that they will reject this government very soon,” added Mr Jaju.
