Arvind Kejriwal, leaders praise Army for cross-LoC operations

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday praised the Army after the surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC, saying the entire country stands behind the armed forces.

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday praised the Army after the surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC, saying the entire country stands behind the armed forces. However, the AAP leaders, who had earlier attacked PM Narendra Modi after the Uri attack for not acting against Pakistan, remained silent on the government’s move.

Delhi minister Kapil Mishra had even started an online petition urging Mr Modi to revoke the most favoured nation status to Pakistan. “My petition to Modi Ji - Time to officially declare Pak a Terrorist State. Impose Econ Sanctions & Remove MFN status,” he tweeted.

Delhi BJP’s two-day executive meet, which started on Thursday, presided by president Satish Upadhyay discussed the political scenario in national capital apart from congratulating the Indian Army for carrying out the surgical strike.

Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said Prime Minister Narender Modi has shown exemplary restrain and decisiveness in this crucial time and he has ably shown that India will no longer tolerate Pakistan’s proxy war through the militants trained by its Army.

“Successful surgical strikes has established India’s supremacy. Though, India is desirous of peaceful co-existence, it is capable of guarding its interests as well. Pakistan dared to keep the fuel of proxy war burning, but now under the able leadership of PM Modi, India has shown that it will no longer tolerate its adventurism. India stands united and is ready to make any sacrifice for the unity and integrity of the country,” added Mr Gupta. Indian has full faith in the capability and supremacy of its armed forces,” the BJP leader said.
