Aam Aadmi Party’s Bijwasan legislator Colonel Devinder Sehrawat on Thursday claimed that his younger brother Satish had impersonated him and made a call to a motorcycle showroom in Mahipalpur and “threatened” its owner with “dire consequences” if he did not offer him a discount on the purchase.
A statement from the Bijwasan MLA’s office said that seeking undue discounts and using the MLA’s name for purchases and public interaction is “unacceptable behaviour”.
“Col Devinder Sehrawat, MLA Bijwasan constituency, has been informed today that his younger brother Satish Sehrawat had impersonated as MLA(sic) and made a telephonic call to the owner of a showroom to seek undue discounts. Seeking undue discounts and using the name of the MLA for purchases and public interaction is unacceptable behaviour not endorsed by Col Devinder Sehrawat,” the statement said.
