AAP Government makes changes in posting of 6 key officers
In a significant development, the AAP government has made transfer and postings of six key senior Danics officers in the national capital. Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited general manager Deepak Virmani, who was also holding an additional charge of secretary to food and supplies minister Imran Hussain, has been given additional charge of additional secretary to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Transport minister Gopal Rai’s secretary Ravi Dadhich, who was also holding an additional charge of secretary (law), has been appointed as the director of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB). DUSIB director Sanjeev Mittal has been given charge of the secretary to the transport minister.
An order to this effect issued by deputy secretary (services) Mukesh Kumar Sharma said that joint commissioner (transport) Anand Kumar Tiwari has been appointed as the joint commissioner (VAT) in the trade and taxes department. Senior Danics officer Rajesh Kumar, who was holding the post of the GM in the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Develop-ment Corporation with additional charge of the DSIIDC’s executive director, has been appointed as the additional chief executive officer in the chief electoral office. DANICS officer Anjali Sehrawat, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as the sub divisional magistrate (Najafgarh) in the revenue department.
A highly-placed source said that Mr Virmani had been lobbying hard to get out of the food and supply minister’s office as Mr Hussain used to “treat him like his personal assistant”. Even Mr Dadhich too was said to be “uncomfortable” with the transport minister ever since Danics officers had proceeded on a day’s mass protest leave. Mr Didhich was also the general secretary of the Danics Officers Association.
