Four Tibetans, posing as Korean citizens, were detained at the IGI Airport here last week on Tuesday.

Four Tibetans, posing as Korean citizens, were detained at the IGI Airport here last week on Tuesday. The accused, identified as Ms Lobsang Dolma, Ms Yangdon, Ms Dawa Chokla and Mr Gyaltsn, were on their way to Zurich.

Sources said the four accused were carrying Korean passports and intended to travel to Zurich. They were offloaded by the Swiss Air Flight LX-147 after authorities became suspicious of their passports and purportedly fake immigration stamps.

The Swiss Air brought the four accused to the notice of immigration officers at the airport. During investigation, they revealed that all of them are Tibetans and they had managed to get the passports with the help of a Chinese agent in Nepal on payment of '1-2 lakh each.

On further interrogation, one of the accused Lee Wonsic revealed her real name was Ms Lobsang Dolma. Other three accused also confessed to being Tibetans.
