A 29-year-old Delhi police constable committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol inside a police booth in North Delhi on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife and two children.
A 29-year-old Delhi police constable committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol inside a police booth in North Delhi on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Constable Kailash, who was from Rajasthan, was posted at the police booth near Plaza market, under the jurisdiction of the Sabzi Mandi police station.
The incident took place at around 10 am. Kailash had just rejoined work after a two-day leave of absence. “He had gone on leave on May 30. After he returned, he was posted at the police booth for duty. He told his colleagues that he was going to get his uniform and locked himself up in the booth,” said a senior police official.
