The man, identified as Ritesh, a native of a village in Bihar, was last spotted at platform No. 1 of the Metro station around 4 pm when he suddenly jumped in fro-nt of an approaching train, a senior police officials said. He was rushed to R.M.L. Hospital, where his left arm had to be amputated, the official added. The reason for his attempted suicide is still unknown.

Meanwhile, three persons, including an MBA graduate, have been arrested for allegedly stealing vehicles and carjacking in Delhi-NCR.

The accused have been identified as Saurav (26), who started a placement agency of his own after finishing MBA from a private institute, Sunil Tiwari (29), who was employed in the placement centre, and their unemployed friend Shivam Verma, the police said.

Two were arrested after a nearly seven km chase, while the third escaped. On questioning the two, the police reached their hideouts and arrested the third accused too, the police added. The gang was involved in at least five cases registered in Delhi and Gurgaon, DCP (West) Pushpendra Kumar said.
