Two persons were killed and six others, including three children, received serious burn injuries in fire that broke out at a house after a cooking gas cylinder explo-ded in northeast Delhi’s Kailash Nagar area.
Fire department officials said the incident was reported around 8 pm at the house of a lawyer and seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
“Two persons have died and six were injured. Resc-ue operation is underway,” a senior district administration official said. One of the deceased has been identified as Poo-nam. Four of the injured have been identified as Naina, Girish, Krish and Sonu Kashyap, the police said.
Another cylinder blast incident was reported at southeast Delhi’s Ashram area around half an hour later.
“Several persons are fea-red injured in the fire incident which occurred in a house following a cylinder blast. Rescue operation is going on,” an official said.
