Virat Kohli never backs off whenever opponents have something to say to him on the field. On Sunday, Australia all-rounder James Faulkner found himself on the receiving end of Kohli’s sharp wit.

While walking back to his bowling mark, Faulkner engaged in some banter with Kohli who was at the non-striker’s end. “Why don’t you go after my bowling mate ,” he asked.Wasting no time, Kohli fired back, “I have smashed you enough in my life, don’t waste your energy. Go and bowl.”

The stylish right-hander broke AB de Villiers’ record to became the fastest to score 7,000 runs in ODI cricket history. Kohli has been in stupendous form in the ongoing series, going past fifty in all three matches.
