: Suresh Raina, who was recalled to the Indian side for the first three ODIs against New Zealand, will miss the first game in Dharamsala on October 16 as he is recovering from fever.

The Indian cricket board, in its media release on Thursday, said, “The BCCI Medical team has confirmed that Suresh Raina, who is recovering from a bout of viral fever, is ruled out of the first ODI of the Paytm ODI Trophy against New Zealand.”

“There will be no replacement in the team,” added BCCI.

Kane Williamson’s New Zealand, who lost the three-match Test series 3-0, will be facing Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Indian side in the five-match ODI series starting on October 16.
