Mumbai: There could be legal trouble for India’s limited overs cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni, after she was named in a multi-crore fraud case, under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 420.
According to the reports, an FIR has been registered against Sakshi and three others directors of Rhiti MSD Almode Pvt. Ltd in Gurugram by Dennis Arora.
According to the complainant, Sakshi, Arun Pandey, Shubhawati Pandey and Pratima Pandey are co-directors of Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited.
Rhiti MSD Almode has shares in Sportsfit World Private Limited, a gym and fitness centre. Dennis also held 39 percent shares of Sportsfit World.
Dennis had agreed to sell his 39 percent shares to Rhiti MSD Almode, on the condition that he would receive approximately Rs 11 crore by 31 March. However, Dennis has claimed in his FIR that Rhiti MSD Almode has only paid Rs 2.25 crore so far.
Arun Pandey, one of the directors of Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited, however, claims that they have paid an amount to Arora in accordance to the shares received by them.
Pandey also added that Sakshi had left the company almost a year ago and is not part of Rhiti MSD Almode anymore, so a case could not be registered against her.
