BCCI secretary to file Supreme Court affidavit soon

The Indian cricket board will file an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the “anomalies and difficulties” in implementing the Lodha Committee recommendations on its restructuring.

The Indian cricket board will file an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the “anomalies and difficulties” in implementing the Lodha Committee recommendations on its restructuring. After a special general meeting here Friday, it said secretary Anurag Thakur would file the affidavit in the court. The Lodha Committee recommended sweeping reforms in BCCI, including one vote per state, an age cap for officials, no simultaneous posts in state and national bodies and restrictions on advertisements in televised matches. The BCCI told state associations they could file affidavits separately on the difficulties they faced.

The working committee authorised the president and secretary to pick an agency to search for candidates for chief executive and chief financial officer as suggested by the Lodha Committee.
